Why
Make a Donation to the Campaign?
The United States has made
significant progress in reducing teen pregnancy rates
(teen pregnancy has declined 27% between 1990 and 1999).
Despite these impressive gains:
- The United States still has the highest rate of
teen pregnancy in the fully industrialized world.
- 35% of teen girls get pregnant at least once by
age 20.
- There are more than 750,000 teen pregnancies each
year.
Each year a new group of
adolescents reach their teen years --- this means that
prevention efforts must be constantly renewed and reinvented.
And because teen pregnancy is so closely linked to a
host of other critical social issues, your donation
can help:
- Reduce welfare dependency
- Improve overall child well-being
- Reduce out-of-wedlock births
- Help increase responsible fatherhood
- Help create a more ready and able workforce.
